On June 30, Indecopi approved a new Single Text of Administrative Procedures, updating the administrative fees for various services and procedures, significantly reducing their cost. The new rates have been in effect since July 1, 2025.

Among the 83 procedures for which fees have been reduced, the following stand out:

Patents, utility models and designs:

• 32% reduction in the registration modification fee.
• 45% reduction in the patent filing fee (PCT national phase, Paris Convention, priority application).
• 19% reduction in the additional claim fee for patent.
• 41% reduction in the substantive patent examination fee.
• 23% reduction in the page amendment fee for patent.
• 30% reduction in the utility model filing fee (PCT national phase, Paris Convention, priority application).
• 65% reduction in the utility model substantive examination fee.
• 67% reduction in the utility model additional examination fee.
• 47% reduction in the additional claim fee for utility model.
• 40% reduction in the industrial design filing fee.
• Reduction from 41% to 59% in annuity fees.

Trademarks:

• Fees have seen minimal changes, with reductions ranging from 0.02% to 0.1%.

On the other hand, a smaller number of fees have increased:

• The cancellation fee for trademark increased by 7%.
• The nullity fee for trademark increased by 10%.
• The withdrawal fee for trademark increased by 7%.
• The amendment fee for trademark registration increased by 6%.
• The priority claim fee for patent increased 61% and the design priority claim fee increased 13%.
• The opposition fee for patent, utility model and design registration applications increased by 28%.
• The plant variety filing fee increased by 36%

These reductions seek to promote the use of the patent and trademark system for both national and international applicants.

The new official fees are effective as of July 1, 2025.
